We are a mixed bag of Sappers ... so says our Home Page! But there is more . . .
How did we start:
Original RAE Shield
We commenced some years ago, following a 2 Troop Reunion that all were invited to attend at Port Macquarie, NSW organised by Marcia & Harry LeBusque. Following that we have had two reunions at Dubbo Memorial Services Club and this year because of the huge numbers, at ‘Club Banora’ at Banora Point, NSW. When you are asking members and partners to ‘pre-pay’ their dinners, BBQ etc., at $125.00 each.
You can now see the type of money being held in ‘trust’ by the committee.
Approximately 600 people attend, at $125.00 each = $75,000.00. ‘Sin Loi’, not guaranteed, that is why your committee has now become incorporated, integrity to cover you, the members and your voluntary committee.
